Oh my sweet Connie, I'm so sorry honey.  This is never easy, letting go when we want them to stay.  It reminds me of when my beloved chocolate lab, KoKoa was ill for the last part of his life.  My time was consumed by taking care ofhim and that was the way I wanted it, because I wanted to spend as much time with him as I could.

He died at the ripe old age of 17...very long time for a lab.
