DAZ have set most of the scale dials in V4.2 to be hidden by default. They probably feel that scaling parts of this figure is likely to result in undesirable efects, and for anything but a very small change in scale they are probably right with respect to most actors. Many V4.2 actors do not seem to take as well to scaling as those in other figures. However there are times when it is appropriate so scale some actors so I am attaching the text of a pose file that will display the scale dials of the currently selected actor "ShowScaleCURRENT.pz2". It should work on almost any figure, not just V4.2. The file will not work in Poser versions prior to P5.

Because these forums do not support the attachment of files with a pz2 file extension, I have had to name the file "ShowScaleCURRENT.pz2.TXT" in order to attach it. Save the file to a Pose folder, dropping the ".TXT" part of the file name, that is to say save it as "ShowScaleCURRENT.pz2".

To use; select the actor (body part) you want to display the Scale dials for, apply the pose. At this point you will still not see the scale dials. Now select some other actor, then reselect target actor, this will force a refresh of the paramiters pallet, and you should now be able to see the scale dials (you may also need to click the "+" next to "Transform" and "Scale" to expand the menu).

If you need to hide the scale dials you can edit the file by replacing every instance of "hidden 0" with "hidden 1" and saving the file as "HideScaleCURRENT.pz2".
