Vue often INVERTS greyscale images by the way, comapred ot most other apps, hence you have littl einvert button in import window!
It's a  total pain in the arse, sigh but you can always eaisly invert any image ;)

you don't need a seperate image for each, unless you need a specific difference, since, say you have a greyscale for the carbon fibre...

load it up in advanced material editor
connect it to colour, highlight and bump
you cna then add filters to easily invert any one you need to be the opposite
You cna also blend in fractals or noise to make it different.
Add colour node, blend, on main coour channel for variety

You can also add a new layer, add a mostly transparent material, with a rainbow colour map, to add iridescence, if want very odd look ;)

so, only 1 image is needed, saving resources ;)
