What Photoshop does is it wants to save the file automatically from the same folder the original image exists in. I have a Texturing partition set up on my Mac and within it is a folder containing all of my base UV maps saved as .psd files. When I click "Save" it overwrites the original file so there's no problem. However, since I save my texture maps in a different folder within a different partition, when I click on "Save As..." the program wants to save it to the same folder the original .psd file is in so I have to go through the same hoops to save the .jpg file into the texture folder that D|S is using. I have to do this each time I "Save As..." . If Photoshop could simply remember the last spot I "Saved As..." in, it would make saving the .jpg files a lot quicker.
I'll get over it. :-)
And, yes, I do realize that I could save the .psd files in the same folder as the .jpg files and not have this issue — I just choose not to.
