My only comment would be about lighting. You've obviously invested some time in creating some nice moody lighting for your scene but your characters are lost in space. They need to be grounded with some cast shadows to give them some weight. The amorphous red and green goo ground plane, is it set to recieve shadows? Also you might want to check your sky settings. Are shadows turned on? If your happy with your lighting and don't want your characters to have shadows all over the floor then please feel free to ignore these comments.
