Thanks for the idea, Adam.  I never use "save as web," so that's not it. 

Has anyone else had this experience?  I can look through people's galleries to see if the EXIF data is there or not, but since I don't know if you're turning it off or leaving it on, I have no way of knowing if what I see means anything or not!
