You probably need ot turn "UAC" off, go read up about it,
basically Vista has a lot of security stuff ot stop the ignorant folks out there screwing their computer up so much
(I used to repair PCs, you wouldn't believe WTH folk install, trashing their system, after you've told 'em not to, 'cause they crashed it the week before and had it in for repiar then! lol)

However, UAC interferes with Vue and other apps, as well as being a pain in the arse (but does make yer system more secure, moslty from personal error).
So, turn it off.

Or if yer worried about that:
run Vue as "Administrator", right click the Vue icon, then select "Run as Administrator"

I turn off UAC,as my choice :)
