Quote - > Quote - Yabut he could still see where her knee is compared to Mike's leg on the comparison pic, right? And then sorta kinda use Mike as the measuring rod.
But he didn't ask for a picture. I agree that if he'd asked for a side-by-side render, he'd be able to compare leg height.
He said this:
"How tall is Near Me in relation to say M4? "
"You other dummies...do I have to spell it out for you? :)
OK, if you load M4 and Near Me in Poser where does the top of Near Me's head come in relation to M4?"
See that? WHERE DOES THE TOP OF NEAR ME'S HEAD COME
BagginsBill. First of all: I do see your po9int. Definitely. But the thing is I guess I have a convoluted way of thinking (and sometimes expressing myself) that apparently is very similar to LukeA's here.
The three quotes you used all suggests to me that what LukeA wants is a side by side comparison so he can see where NearMe is compared to Mike when they're loaded into Poser at the same time.
And that WOULD allow him to build a chair for her. Once he knows that NearMe's default height is where it is, he can also see where her knee is, and this how tall a chair should be to fit her.
I agree that the "head" bit is irrellevant in relations to building a chair, but since I always use the Poser people as measuring rods myself (Using the "This looks to be the right size" measuring method) I didn't find it really odd. I mostly saw it as a between-the-lines "when they're loaded at the same relative scale" (in other words, their default scale)
So I guess it's a question of non-tech-speaking people meeting the techs and not really speaking the same language ^_^

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
