Hey, I really am a smirking bald guy with glasses. Except for the baldness. Nothing at all to do with being too lazy to choose some hair, no sir. Actually, I didn't wear glasses when I started this lark either, but reality seems to have overtaken fiction there. 8)

I do find the pin-up avatars confusing, I must say. I don't expect people's avatars to be like them at all, and I have no problem with kitties or robot avatars; but the gender message is more deep-seated than that, it seems.
