No, it doesn't make me feel better ... especially if I think they're trying to tell me that the best thing they can say about the cordial is that they like the bottle. 

That is rather the long way around to say that someone should try harder. 

OTOH, Baroness Elspeth of The Barony of the Bridge (at a time when she was Queen Elspeth of the East Kingdom) said that my cordials were good enough that she entered one of mine  into a tasting ... as Queen's Champion ... as a mild challenge to the others in that tasting/competition.  ... Quite a compliment. 

Given that courtesy is of the utmost importance among members of the SCA, I don't complain about any response ... not even, "nice bottle."
