Quote - No one keeps the ReadMes?

I keep the compressed files, readmes, etc..  Periodically, I move them to more permanent storage.  I also use the compressed files to figure out where assets are in my own runtime.  For instance, where are the different material poses?  What came with this package?  Etc..

Poser sucks ass at organizing content by item.  Plain and simple.  There is no easy way to tell what itemxxx came with, when you got it, what else in your runtime is associated with it, etc..  That's due to the nature of its menu system and the fact there is NO generally accepted standards regarding naming conventions along with nothing in the way of any indexing referrences.

I can't stand that.

Artist xx puts out a clothing pack, names the Character folder contents "Artistxx", the Pose folder "!!SuperDuper Square Hat collection MATS", the Props folder contents "Hat Pins", the Lights folder contents "XX's Lights" and the extra procedural Materials contents "Hey, look, some stuff!" ...

It's madening and has been going on, evidently, for 8+ generations of Poser incarnations.  /sigh
