I do keep the readme's, but with over 30 Gb of content even going through readme's takes a while. Once you find one you notice that you've purchased the item years ago and that the email adres in the readme isn't very current anymore.

Besides most readme's are called readme and overwrite the old ones, unless they're installed a special folder, but most content creator do not do that, they all install in the same place.
