The North (and South) poles officially use Coordinated Universal Time (What used to be, and often still is, unofficially, called Greenwich Mean Time). Non-military types who work in or near those areas often use the time zone nearest to where the are, or as agreed upon with their co-workers. The Amundson-Scott station (a scientific research center, mostly) in Antartica not all that far from the pole (well, closer than I am right now...) uses the same time zone as Christchurch, New Zealand.
