@ cmcc…I know this is beyond your control but clicking on your link in the post above exposed my computer to a phishing site and tripod did in fact plant malware on my system. It redirected me to a site posing as Windows Security Center flashing all kinds of virus infection pop-up screens claiming my system was infected with some 352 virus infections. This in spite of the fact that my anti-virus software has enabled pop-up protection. I’ve since did a total scan on my system during which the tripod cookie was found.
