There are some internal inconsistancies in Poser. The library that contains figures for example is ..runtimelibrariescharacter, but from within Poser its the Figure tab in the library .  Figure and character are sometimes used as the same thing where some people make the distinction that a figure is the geometry and morphs , while a character is settings to make the figure look unique.  So Esmerelda for V4 is the character Esmerelda for the figure V4.

Its very easy to be confused about what a person is even asking.

The poses library is either positioning poses or material poses that change the appearance of the item.

Last time I looked there were three(3) install files for Apollo and several more for the clothing sets.

Make sure you have downloaded and installed everything.  Clothing will be in Figures or Props depending on what it is .

If you are painting over the poser image you might consider turning off shadows for the lights and using the lower render settings to produce the image. It will save a lot of time.
