Nowadays, skin texturing relies heavily on shader node components in the material room to bring out realism. Some are very intricate and elaborate, others are compact and fairly straight-forward. With shaders, you can take a bad or mediocre skin texture and convert it into an amazing work of art. Bagginbill's VSS Prop does that to any skin texture it is applied.
