Inverse Kinematics (IK) is used to change the "parent" of the "arms," i.e., hands and the "legs," i.e. feet.

Normally, the hand is "parented" (controlled by) the forearm ... and the feet are "parented" to the shin ... when IK is OFF.

When IK is ON, the hands and/or feet are "parented" (move with) the "Body" and not the forearm or shin.

Don't try to understand all about IK right now ... just know how to control it.

Where is Poser's "Floor?" ... Next ... 😄
