The squishing is so that a guy with Max or a guy with Poser can't download your file and then use the contents of the obj for there own work without ever owning Victoria in any version. The squishing removes the parts of the file that make it accessible without the original source file. If you have an obj that is not squished you can open it in Bryce, Max or whatever. If you wanted to you could then make other heads from it and sell it but with the squished file it cannot open it. Only Poser and Victoria specificallycan use it. Hope that clears it up.
