I'm somewhat in the same boat. I’ve been working a lot with vector graphics and find I don’t have the time I’d like to spend on my 3D work. I got into 3D with Bryce as a way to enhance my 2D graphic work.

I have found Bryce to be rewarding and challenging at the same time. To me it’s a logic puzzle. Lately I’ve been turning to Wings 3D to achieve those shapes that I can’t make in Bryce.
I’ve said it before; the one feature I wish DAZ would add to Bryce to make it complete would be true vector modeling.

At times I think about jumping ship. But I always come back because I know I’ve just began to scratch the surface with Bryce.

Incognitas don’t give up on Bryce just yet. There are always ways to work around problems. Terrains as mentioned are one solution. This forum I've found to be another great tool. There are some talented minds here that I have found are willing to share their knowledge.
Also there other programs like Wings3D and DAZ Studio that can enhance what Bryce can’t do. Let me put it this way, when it come to my graphics I use Photoshop, but I don’t stop there. I also use Illustrator, Painter and did I mention Bryce.

I’ll get down from my soapbox now.
