Subject: Limit on the lights in Poser 7

Repeating - there is no light limit in rendering, and your graphics card has nothing to do with rendering, unless you accidentally asked Poser to use the Preview Render engine for your
actual render. Most people only do this for animation.

The OpenGL hardware accelerated Preview Render engine cannot do more than 8. I'm absolutely certain that the software renderer can do way more than 8. I have experimented with an array of 16 spot acting as an area light and had no trouble.
 


Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
