It has been around for a long time, but it wasn't outdated at all. While it's not C4D, Maya or LW, it still does a good job, giving you quite some 3D power for a great price..... Once you get used to the interface you can do some amazing things with it. When I used it for game design, it gave me some excellent features needed in modern game design that still to this day both C4D and LW lack.

To say it's outdated clearly shows you haven't really used it.

Talk about outdated...... even with all the stuff DAZ is adding (which isn't really helping Carrara along) the newest version compared to it's competition is hopelessly outdated.
