A couple of samples I rendered and modeled for a company that produces custom high end luxury safes and vaults apparently they are starting new marketing campaigns on the pre viz side insuring new potential clients that the safe they ordered is as elegant as the description on their web site and from sales .All these safes/vaults are custom made to suit the buyers needs by in house cad/solid works designers .

My would be job is to create environments from the converted file to ensure the buyer that the safe is as pleasing to the eye as is a monument of security .I guess sales at this company has increased dramatically since the slump in the economy go figure !Not knowing much about safe designs I basically used a reference pic and added my own flair color, reflection ,and fluff to the model .The beauty is I will get a chance to learn solid works in time if it sinks in !

Safe was modeled in Hexagon and rendered in Carrara 6 with HDRI. I threw the project together with in a day and a half to demonstrate the power and selling point of previsualization. The Hexagon Carrara workflow was used simply because of the ease and minimal set up of the apps great combo if you need something off the fly

Michael.

Looks very very cool. I use the same combination of apps for fast previewing of things whenever it is needed. Works like a charm indeed.

Thanks guys, these luxury safes/vaults are a bit snazzy on the inside as well as outside , the faces of the compartments/ drawers have a choice of real wood finishes , mahogany, teak, and cherry wood . The separating slats are for parking important documents ,folders , art work , and of course cash and what ever else you hold of value !
Many custom designer finishes are available , also with a natural brushed metal too , lots of chrome trim .
Thanks, Michael.
