Try this and let us know if it worked:
1- Open Vue and don't make any other change
2- File -> Options -> Units & Coordinates -> Enable Spherical Scene -> Use planetary terrains
3- Click on yes on the question that pops up
4- Change the "scene radius" to, say, 10Km
5- Click ok
6- In the 4 quadrants view, click on the "frame all" button, so that you can see all the world.
7- You should see a 10Km sphere as your world.
