YIPEEEEE!

I've now found my lost files. I was told about this before, they were in Andrew/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program files/e frontier/Poser 7/Runtime/Libraries/Character/'my model folder'

I didn't reinstall Poser to the root directory, as suggested, I just used the good old Poser psychic sense we develop and, as Obi Wan would have said, "The force will guide you to them!" And it did. Though why Poser puts them in that place, God only knows!!! I've now copied them to the correct runtime folder.

Thanks anyway, guys, and no, 210x2, I don't have a compatibility folder with Poser 7.
