Along those lines, I'm ready to switch over to 64-bit Vista (I already have 32-but Vista and have had no problems except that pesky 3 GB limit).

My question is, am I going to have to re-install everything after installing Vista 64-bit?

My 32-bit version was bought through my school and isn't 'eligible' for upgrade status (according to the folks at Microsoft), so they say I have to buy a full version to get 64-bit.  And I'm told that a full install requires re-installing of all programs.

Any thoughts, help, recipes...?  ;)
