The above is a link to a tutorial on using the magnets in Poser. As far as modellers go, I personally love Lightwave more than my own kids (okay, I don't really have any kids) although I would say it's way too expensive just for making morph targets. There are a few modellers out there (like early versions of Amapi, Strata and even Truespace) you can get free with certain 3D magazines and such. Make sure you try the programs out before you pay for one. Hope this helps.
