Thanks. I blame Zbrush. Love that app. Love it. Love it. Just spent the past 2 hrs working in it and probably spend at least 5-7hrs a day with it for production. Nothing ever had the effect on my texture work as Zbrush and what's more, even with normal and displacement mapping in Poser Pro, it can really suck to see the difference when going from a full on Zbrush sculpt/texture session to how little of that Poser is actually capable of capturing. Very aggravating when there are game engines that respond better to normal and displacement mapping and have better specularity models in them. Been getting some really killer results out of DS lately, though it's still some of the same. I guess that's the curse of Zbrush: to do my work in there, I push the poly count up to a minimum 4 million polys, often times pushing to 12-16million depending on what's needed. At that point, there's just no comparison. But at least I think I'm continuing to find better and better ways to maintain the integrity of the work as it goes to Poser and DS. It will probably never be 100% of what I see when I'm working in Zbrush, but we keep working to push those boundaries as hard as possible. -Les
