With my XP Pro system  I use Registry Cleaner, which is awesome for cleaning the gunk out of your system!! :)

that PC ran smooth as silk until some months ago when I installed a game and a Miscrosoft update to Windows search just slowed it right up when browsing, I'm just very loathe to re-install windows on it
I may get WIndows 7, 64 bit and more RAM for it and...dreams of using it as 2nd render machine again :p
