For Conform to work, the way your clothing figure is rigged must be pretty much the same as the figure that will wear it. Do not create these bones by hand in the Setup room (unlike your sword project); you need to load the bones from the library in the Setup room. Is this the "P4 Nude Man"? If so, then you should try these steps:
This is the minimum number of steps that will get you a working, conforming figure. There is some clean-up work to do with your new figure, in that it has a lot of joints and morph information that is not useful, and should be removed. Some of this can be done in Poser:
with your new figure loaded...
You should leave the bones at the "root" of the tree (Body, Hip, Abdomen in your case). Your conformer may work without them, but most people leave those root bones in.
Removing extra morph information is more complicated, you should probably look into a CR2 editing program.
