Any Poser figure, even the best one out there, can be made to look bad by user error. There is nothing wrong with Apollo’s arm topology. A superior range of movements can be achieved by using collar, shoulder and upper arms. Anyone who tries to position the arm by relying on the upper arm is going to run into problems and deserves to. 

M3 snapped like a pretzel where  Apollo could bend normally. I doubt M2 was better.
