Here's the first "serious" Poser render that I still have, done when I first got Poser 5.  The model is Judy (I think, it was a LOOOOONG time ago), and it's still one of my favorites.  I started with Poser 3 and then moved up to 4, but I didn't do anything "artistic", just stuff for posters and signs for work.
