I didnt mean for you to switch to pioneer completely, just to see if the problem of closing the program  remains. It wont solve your problem but maybe will give e-on some clues what the reasons are.

I'm still on mac os x 10.4.11 so maybe it is related to the newer OS.

I do understand your frustration - I have no end of problems since I upgraded to v7 (see link). Some bugs have been fixed but  just as many new bugs appeared...
