Quote - LL, is the Poser 8 Content library branch empty in every category?
The screen shot was very informative, because I saw figures and materials from your other libraries.
So it is a clue that only the newly installed stuff is not being found.
It is also a clue if NONE of it is found.
And if you type "Andy" into the search, do you find Andy the mannequin?
Yes, every catagory for Poser 8 is empty. I did not think to use the search function. I can try that. I reinstalled the content to Poser 8, even though it all is there. I can browse the content using Windows Explorer. I can load things from the library using a python script from D3D called Quick Browse (even though some materials failed to load). I had Andy upon first start up, but I loaded my basic studio from Poser Pro as a pz3 file and then set that as my Preferred State. Yes, I have Norton, not McAfee on this laptop. And, no, I didn't know it might interfer with and installation so I didn't turn it off. On principle, I do not use IE. Long, long time ago I started out on the net as a Netscape user. I didn't like having IE crammed down my throat with each new operating system. (I really preferred Windows 98). And it you really want to get to the meat of it, I am an Atarian in a (spit) Microsoft world. I still prefer Atari's TOS to Microsoft's Windows. But that's neither here nor there on this discussion about the empty library. I'm going to do some screen shots now, because that might more helpful than verbage.
