You think your parents treat you like a slave? Wait until you start earning a paycheck. You can choose to be happy wherever you are, or be unhappy no matter where you are. The grass is rarely greener on the other side of the fence.

You might want to add up what an apartment, food, water, electricity, heating, internet, cable,  laundry service and insurance would cost you, that your parents now provide, and divide that by the number of hours you do what your parents want. It's probably a good chunk of change.
