Subject: Render 'stops' on screen, but continues to render, but image is unavailable

Greetings all

OK, Poser 8 seems like a great thing at the moment, loving the better interface, library seems to be functioning OK for me (touchwood).  I've got a curious problem.

When rendering, and seemingly only with indirect lighting turned on, the on-screen updating 'stops' sometimes, usually when encountering hair oddly enough (maybe a transparency issue).  Anyway, the render update bar continues until the render is 'finished' but the on screen image doesn't get updaed, so when you save the image, you get a percentage of the image rendered with whatever preview was active at the time.

Now with Vue I would 'render to disk', Poser doesn't appear to have this option.  Any suggestions or has anybody else encountered this issue?

Best wishes

Jody

Please ignore, I found a very good post elsewhere in the forum which gave a few tips, so hopefully it's sorted.

If anybody else is having problems, try switching poser from 'seperate process' rendering, seems to do the trick

Another thing to remember if you are using IL is the Render has to calculate the impact of other parts of the scene to render others, so sometimes you will see the display seem to halt, but the Render Bar continues to advance.. depending on what is in the scene, this may happen in spurts, or for me, I have seen the Render Process nearly complete before the Image advances from the point it stopped. (I notice this more using Reflection on Materials in the Material Room than any other time.)
