The other issue encountered is one of Permissions for Folder Access. Installation should be as Administrator for all aspects (Poser and Flash) The Runtimes need to be available to all users. (This can be an issue even if you are the only user on some systems) Remember to Reboot your system after you make any changes to your Firewall or User Accounts access.

When I checked the Documents and Settings folder, All Users, Application Data, there is a folder for Poser 8 with a couple of data files in it.
