What is sci-fi about a tree control and some buttons? You've lost me.

Remember, I may have an opportunity to change the GUI, perhaps make more options.
Of course, a GUI that is completely tailored by the end user is sci-fi, so maybe you don't want any options. :)
Also, the word parochial is always a pejorative, nor did I say that you were parochial, but rather that your list of requirements was. I'm using it in the correct original sense, which is "concerned with ones own Parish", or in other words, only aware of your own needs, not that of the world as a whole.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
