Oh, ok....thanks Dizzi.   LL will be glad for any helpful info too.   The first time I tried it, I got this script error box, but then I realized that I had not rebooted after reinstalling P8 content.   After rebooting, successfully got Ryan on the screen so that much was working, so then I tried the Mat Collection issue again, and got the Materials prompt box so thought I'd best post it for others' consideration.
