I never use my full real name on the internet.  Too many weirdos out there and I'm a weirdo magnet!!  Linda is my real first name, but when I have to use a last name on the internet, I use an alias.   There are a few people that I've met online that do know my real last name, but those are special situations where I consider them friends and have exchanged either cards/gifts through snail mail at holiday times.
