In the meantime, there was a free copy of Poser 3 on a back issue of PC World magazine. I'm sure they have a web site, but I don't know the URL (I'm sure someone here will be able to tell you what it is). Maybe you can get a back issue copy of it in the meantime. It's a full, unlimited version. It's only v3, which doesn't have transparency and a few other things (it won't support Vicki and Mike), but at least you can get oriented with the interface and how the elements work in it. The only drawback is that there's no manual and the upgrade offer is only good in the UK, but at least you could get started learning it until P5 comes out. But as for the missing manual, you can always get help here in the discussion forum. There are lots of folks who are very nice and extremely patient and generous with helping newbies. Melanie
