now, there used to be a way to change the priority of the threads running each program, but this is a dangerous tool, and I hesitate to recommend it. If you bump the priority on a program up too high, you can bollix the Operating system. Maybe someone will let me know (heck, I'm still running Windows 2000, XP, and Ubuntu...;) if this still is even an option.
