Subject: Question about hair rim/edge due to ambient occlusion

I did an 8 hour render last weekend, and I forgot to tick the Visible in Raytracing on a figure. doh!

But, it made a good illustration of Visbile in Raytracing, if you look at the shiny floor. 
Dude on the left isn't casting a reflection.
