Also as was pointed out, skill and talent and having a feel for what people are interested and will buy in has a lot to do with how you'll do.
That is unfortunately true. I initially started modeling cause of the idea making a movie too.
But ended up in having no time anymore. As said in my post above: It consumes your time more than you think.
And: I think that only a handful of people may be able to live from what they earn at any marketplace: Consider: You have to pay taxes even on the little money you earn here! So the 1000$ you target get taxed-- you may have 700 in the end to live from...
