Hi!

I've wondered about this myself once, and found the answer in the FAQ here: www.renderosity.com/mod/service/index.php

Basically, it says the item will be removed from the store if it has not had any sales for 60 days, otherwise it will stay in the store until it stops selling, or that if the vendor requests for the item to be pulled.

In actuality, in my own experience its not very re-assuring, and its still a very 50/50 gamble whether to predict if an item will be there next time you can buy something. Lots of times I ask the vendor how long will it be staying in clearance before its removed, or has it had any sales in the last 60 days (the set expiration term). Unfortunately the usual answer is either "I do not know" or "I don't know how to tell / check". I always assumed that the vendor just doesn't know how to check or doesn't know how long it will remain in the store.

The caveat here is that its pretty much whichever items you buy that is marked on clearance will be in the store for another 60 days, but the self "beat your head against the wall" is when you pick and choose which to buy now and hope the rest will be there next time is when you come back next time (when you can afford it, like a month later) and find out the item is now gone. This is the frustrating experience i've had many times. It really smarts since theres no reference or way of knowing / to make that informed purchase decision, and it feels like a life or death gamble since most of us usually can only afford to buy whats within our often limited spending budget.

Its almost like a secret lottery. You know (or hope) that people are buying clearance items, but you don't know which ones people are buying, so you caat your choice of items into the cart and hope for the best that the ones that you left behind will still be available later.

I really truly wish the clearance term of 60 days coule be longer, as well or at the very least have a marked expiration date listed on the product page. One that perhaps could auto-update in the event of people purchasing the item thus the date would get set back to another 60 days. Along the same token, should a vendor wish to pull the item, it should still be in the store for 30 days before its gone, and be marked as such perhaps the expiry date listed in red when this happens.

It would also be nice to somehow have the expirey date listed in the clearance store item link, as well as in the wishlist.

A Sort by Clearance date when from "soon" to "later" would be helpful. This could also help inform the buyer to allow prioritizing his/her purchases, and drastically reduce missing out on items by "pure random chance".
