And are you doing traditional spoked wheels or composite? You'll probably want to google a bit on "bicycle wheel building" to do research if you're going with spoked wheels. (So you can figure out the count, cross pattern, and stagger.) Composite wheels are a lot easier to model in comparison.

I actually build my own wheels on my bikes so that's not so much an issue as the best way to lay it out in 3D
