I've been too busy with various projects to test it in depth, but no serious complaints so far.

Rendering performance has definitely improved for multi-core processors, even on a lowly system like my own.  I'd set up a couple of animations in P7 and had intended to render them in that version, but decided to let P8 give them a try instead, and it handled both readily.
