Hi LL ... here we are again....haha. Okay, I'm going to post some information here that might help the other 10% of the folks who are having problems. Please note, I have not tried this. However, it was posted on the DAZ forum by someone who did, and it fixed the problem. So...having said that, here goes. I'll put this in quotes below:
"...I use Windows XP SP3, still, and had the blank library tab. The solution for me was to go to the Microsoft site and download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008. After the reboot, my library tab was the fine.
One minor annoyance, though. Although my D|S 3 still worked fine afterwards, when I installed the next D|S 3 update - which forcibly reinstalls Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 - after my next system boot, the Poser 8 library had gone blank again. Running the 'repair' option from the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 uninstaller and rebooting then got the Poser 8 library working again (and the D|S 3 still worked). So it appears that a D|S install - most likely the forced Visual C++ 2005 install within that even when you don't need it - is messing with the Visual C++ 2008 install, which in turn is bringing the Poser 8 library problem again.
So, anyway, for XP users, downloading and installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 is worth a try as it fixed the Poser 8 blank library problem for me. But if it does, be aware that if you are also a D|S user and do a D|S install, you may then need to reinstall/repair the Visual C++ 2008 and reboot afterwards.... " (end of quote)
Now, I happen to be a DAZ Studio 3 Advanced user, so this could quite possibly be an issue on my computer. However, I use DS3 for some of my animations, and for the first time in a long time, everything is working, plug-ins, the whole bit, so I can't risk messing it all up. But, if this information can help anyone, there it is. Good luck everyone!
Good hearing from you LL, hang in there!
