One more thing: Do not be afraid to poke and prod and pull things to see what they do. It you're a hands-on learner like myself, the manual will mostly frustrate you. Poser won't bite and IF everything goes FUBAR, just reinstall on top of the old - that way you won't mess with your installed content - it will still be there in the new install :)

Start simple to learn the basics. Take one character and one or two lights, move it all around, try the various render settings (the Auto ones generally SUCK) and see how it works. Rememer, it takes time to get GOOD at the program, but it doesn't take long before you can play and have fun with it.

Oh and.. remember to turn shadows ON when you render...
