I'm starting from scratch here, since it should be working. There's something new/different about this problem you're getting.

So, no runtimes in c:Program Files, right?

Do you know how to show your OS Event Viewer? I can't remember where it is in Vista, but on XP it is on Start Button/All Programs/Administrative Tools/Event Viewer. After Poser misbehaves, close it. Then look around in the Event Viewer at the Application, Security, and System logs to see if there are any problem being recorded

Is Vista's UAC turned on? Just as an experiment, not a permanent solution, if it is on, try turning it off temporarily.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
