What would you say is a reasonable spec?. .......

Just wanted to tell you I need to do my computing from my comfy recliner as well, and when I asked for the same advise here at the Vue forum, someone suggested I still consider a desktop computer.  There are so many ways you can rig up a desktop setup from your chair.  I have a sliding table, where the wheels of the table fit underneath the chair (raised on a couple of wooden slabs) and where the sliding keyboard extension tray on the table fits into the chair so that I can still lean back a bit to support my neck.

I can't tell you how satisfied I am with my setup (I bought the table at Office Max for quite a bit less than $100 - can't beat that!), and I was able to get a decent 64-bit quad core with 8 GB RAM for not much more than $1000 (at that time).

Something to think about....
